What You’ll Get With ClinicSense That You Won’t Get With MassageBook

ClinicSense offers tools that are unique to MassageBook. On top of all of the tools to manage your client files, ClinicSense also includes sales & marketing tools to help you attract new clients and grow your business through repeat bookings.
These features include:
SOAP Notes Icon

Fully Customizable SOAP Notes

Every massage business is different and ClinicSense’s SOAP notes allow you to tailor your notes to the unique needs of your business.

ClinicSense starts you off with 3 different SOAP note templates. You can use any of those SOAP note templates or create your own templates that are fully customized for your business. This includes the ability to create different templates for the different services that you offer.

You can then choose the SOAP note that’s best suited for the treatment you’re providing. For example, if you offer both prenatal massage and neuromuscular therapy, you can use different templates for each service since you will record different information for each service type.

100% Customizable Intake Forms

Just like SOAP notes, ClinicSense starts you with all of the standard forms, but then gives you the option to customize those forms or create new ones that are unique to your business.

You’ll have the option of choosing from 15 different question types (like multiple choice, short answer, etc) and even use “display logic”. This means questions will only be asked when it’s appropriate. For example, questions about pregnancy are only prompted if the client answers “yes” to being pregnant.

After creating and customizing your forms you can choose which forms need to be sent to the client based on which service they book. For example, you can create an intake form specifically for prenatal massage, and only send that intake form to clients who book that service.

So not only do you get the customization and flexibility, but you get the automation of sending out the right forms at the right time.

Everything works in sync and the experience for you is seamless.

Automated Referral Email Campaign

It’s no secret that word-of-mouth is the primary way that massage businesses grow. But sometimes it can be difficult to ask for a referral. ClinicSense offers an automated referral email campaign. After a client has had at least 3 appointments (when you can be sure they know and love you), ClinicSense will send them an email on your behalf asking them to refer a friend or family member that can also benefit from your services.

Google Review Booster

This is an automated email campaign that goes out to clients after their appointment to ask them to rate you on a scale of 1 to 10. If they rate you a 9 or 10, they are encouraged to leave a review on Google. If they rate you 1 to 8, they are encouraged to leave private feedback so you know how you can do better in the future for that client.

MassageBook also has a reviews feature, but the client is encouraged to leave a review within the MassageBook platform, not on Google, so it will not help your Google ranking.

Fill Your Schedule With Availability Campaigns

ClinicSense will scan your calendar for availability and send an email to your clients with a summary of your availability and a prompt for them to book online. This simple reminder works wonders and ClinicSense is seeing each therapist that uses this feature earn an additional $960/mo.

Meet Customers Who Made The
Switch from MassageBook to ClinicSense!

MassageBook was convoluted and overhyped. A client recommended ClinicSense, as it was easier to book through. Happy I made the switch.

ClinicSense has provided quality online booking for clients, SOAP notes, invoices, marketing, customized generated reports and excellent customer service. Glad I chose CS over the competition.

I can't imagine using anything else, at this point. It has everything I need and more. If I have a problem with something, they're usually already working on it!  Plus with 1.3% less in transaction fees from Square by using ClinicSense.

No show protection is MUCH more secure and reliable. SOAP note integration, memos, and customizable intake forms make tracking and understanding my clients needs incredibly easy.

ClinicSense tends to be the innovator and MassageBook seems to eventually initiate the features later.

For clients seeing the name of the practice management software, I preferred the name ClinicSense.

What You’ll Get With MassageBook That You Won’t Get With ClinicSense

While MassageBook offers these features that ClinicSense doesn’t that may be important to your business:
Membership icon

Monthly Membership Management

Many independent massage therapists are starting to follow the franchise model where their customers will commit to one treatment every month for a year in exchange for a discounted rate on treatments. In this model, their credit card is billed automatically each month.

If this is the business model that you use, MassageBook has a feature to manage your memberships.

Outcall Booking

If you are primarily a mobile massage therapist MassageBook offers an outcall feature where you can define your service area. When a client tries to book a mobile massage they’ll enter their address and will only be allowed to book if they are within your service area.

ClinicSense vs. MassageBook: Account Setup

Both ClinicSense and MassageBook offer a free trial giving you plenty of time to see which product is the best for your business.

In addition to this, ClinicSense also offers a built-in guided tour and you’ll be partnered with a dedicated Customer Success Coach who you are free to email and text with to get all of your questions answered promptly.

ClinicSense or MassageBook | What Is Right For You?

After talking to customers of both ClinicSense and MassageBook, it seems the decision generally comes down to:

ClinicSense is a better choice for professionals who are looking for 100% customizable SOAP notes and forms that will offer more flexibility.

It may also be a better fit if you’re looking for new clients and additional help filling your appointment book.

MassageBook may be a better fit if your business model is primarily selling monthly memberships or doing outcalls, it's ideal for new massage therapists.
With both companies offering a free trial, we’d recommend exploring both products and choosing the one that you feel is of higher quality and a better fit for the long term growth of your business.
